COODING New Delhi: A Resounding Success

On November 28, CICOPA hosted the second edition of COODING as an official side event of the ICA Global Cooperative Conference in New Delhi, India. The event, held from 13:30 to 15:30 IST, brought together 51 participants from all cooperative sectors worldwide to explore the intersection of digitalization and cooperative values. 

This year’s edition, organized in partnership with CICOPA Asia-Pacific and the cooperative Patio, successfully fostered meaningful exchanges among attendees, focusing on the Asia-Pacific region’s unique challenges and opportunities. Discussions during the event addressed cooperative digitalization needs and solutions, providing a platform for innovative tech cooperatives to connect with traditional cooperatives. 

The cooperative Patio played a pivotal role, offering concrete solutions to several issues raised during the discussions, solidifying its reputation as a leader in addressing cooperative challenges through innovation. The program featured thought-provoking sessions, including lessons learned from the Coopathon, engaging World Café discussions, and dedicated networking opportunities. Key topics included how federations can support tech cooperatives, technology’s potential to unlock cooperative business growth, and the digital tools cooperatives need to thrive in today’s economy.
