The federations of worker cooperatives in the Americas region pledges its solidarity with the Chilean people

A wave of solidarity with Chilean people and demonstrators is spreading across the federations of worker cooperatives in the Americas region, as shown by declarations adopted by CICOPA members, United States federation of Worker Cooperatives (USA), Confederacion Nacional Cooperativa De Actividades Diversas (Mexico), Canadian Worker Co-op Federation (Canada) and CICOPA Mercosur.

They all express their solidarity with the Chilean people asking for more democracy and economic justice and struggling against consequences of long-lasting governmental neoliberal policies such as income inequality, austerity, privatization and the brutal governmental repression.
